Background and Recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
Within eighteen months of my mononecleious diagnosis, I had visited a dozen doctors, and despite feeling the worse I had ever felt in my life, all the doctors declared that the mono was just running its course and that I would feel better "soon". They said nothing of how I could change my diet, what supplements to take, or how stress reduction strategies could help me.
The next two years of my post-mono fatigue I would rate as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) (CFS diagnosis criteria), I trusted the mainstream medical establishment that I would get better with “time” or by “resting”, one doctor even told that diet wouldn't make any difference! However, after 18-months with no progress in my recovery, I started to take matters into my own hands. I was reluctant at first to seek out alternative/holistic medical professions and so I ended up taking the shotgun approach: trying every supplement, gadget, and protocol imaginable as soon as I read somewhere it may be helpful.
Eventually, I began to narrow down and target my healing approach- what worked, what did not work, and why. I have read hundreds of health and wellness books, medical textbooks, primary research and listened to voluminous amounts of lecturers and research discussion. This website contains the most important aspects of what I learned and the results of my trials and errors. My goal to help anyone who may be in a similar situation find a quicker path to recovery and begin living their life again.
As the Chinese proverb goes: " A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"- Every little thing you do, no matter how minute, to improve your health counts and can add-on to substantial change in the long-term.

TOP FOUR CHANGES THAT MOST QUICKLY IMPACTED MY HEALTH
Recovery is a long-term game, and that should be your mindset. There are no "quick fixes". That said, the four things below all had an immediate and profound impact on how I felt within minutes, and a thus now part of my long-term strategy.
And all four are relatively simple and inexpensive.
Most immediately impactfully changes in the early stage of my recovery where:

My goal with this site is to provide information to help the world make better decisions about their health and wellness. There is a lot of dangerous information how to become and stay healthy. Perverse incentives abound many of the most well-known companies from which we buy our food, and likewise, pharmaceutical companies' legal duties are to their shareholders, not necessarily to the individuals they sell their pills and procedures to. Furthermore, the traditional medical community often neglects the importance of alternative health providers, and that includes the fundamental importance of nutritionists. Nutrition courses are not mandatory in most medical schools, yet these are the people who are supposed to provide the best advice for our well-being.
Disclaimer
What follows is my experience which will hopefully help others. Obviously, everyone’s body is different and those suffering from fatigue are at various stages and from various sources. Please keep that I mind if you proceed with any particular protocols I list. Do seek out a health care professional, particularly a functional practitioner who understands the real role of a doctor should provide and understands a holistic approach is best when healing. It shouldn't be understated, that you often have to put the pieces together from various sources to completely heal. Hopefully, the information provided herein will help you do that.
My views are completely unbiased, I am not selling, promoting any treatments, herbs, vitamins, or products that I may have listed or discussed. These just happen to be the ones that - after sufficient research - I feel worth sharing either because they assisted me on my path to recovery and/or are such of such popularity among health professions that I believe they are worth mentioning.
